The iTunes app store is an expanding goldmine of cheap and often free software that can be run on the iPod Touch and the iPhone.

From the paramedic/nurse/Dr/EMT in all of us, the app store offers: Drug identification guides, ECG guides, health calculators, chemistry texts, biology texts, and a whole stack more.

So over the coming months we’ll look at how these amazingly simple devices can assist us on the road and we’ll also review both free and premium software titles.
